When to Bring up your Network Marketing Company
You start talking to a prospect or you have, through some way, generated a lead. By the way, if you don’t know how to generate leads, you may want to check out this training. Let’s say you’ve generated a lead, so now you have this nice beautiful lead, you love the lead, it’s amazing. When do you transition to hit them with your network marketing company?
Here’s my suggestions around that. Number one, don’t be too eager. Too often you’ve done the hard work of generating a lead, but then you blow it by being too eager with your opportunity. Instead of that way of thinking, I want you to think about this phrase right here that I think could revolutionize the entire network marketing industry. Generate the lead, connect with the lead, determine the need. Generate the lead, connect with that lead, determine the need. What do they need?
If you focused on their needs more than your quota, you’ll completely change the paradigm of sales, period.
Focus on how can you help them. Remember, a lot of the best business builders were first product users. Don’t forget that you can also sell them product, in fact, in most compensation plans that’s how you’re actually paid, is by selling product not by bringing on business builders. Remember that. Don’t be too eager, generate a lead, connect with the lead, determine the need, and find out.
The other mistake that I see made is you generate the lead and you spend the rest of your life courting that lead, building rapport, sending them flowers. That’s also a mistake. Being too eager is a mistake, but also dragging things out and asking about their kids for the next three years so that you can hopefully at some point hit them with your network marketing company. That’s also a mistake. Look in the conversation for areas where you can bring up your products.
