Throughout my career there have been a LOT of challenges but today I talk about my biggest challenge.
Understanding that there will be challenges and how we can overcome them can only help you with any that come up for you.

How to Overcome Challenges Quotes
“Being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated is optional.” -Roger Crawford
“The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people.” -Randy Pausch
“Opportunity often comes disguised in the form of misfortune, or temporary defeat.” —Napoleon Hill
“Turn your wounds into wisdom.” –Oprah Winfrey
“Opportunities do not come with their values stamped upon them.” –Maltbie Babcock
My Biggest Challenge
I think most people think that, Oh, if you’re at one, two, three, four million dollars a year, then challenges are just gone.
Not if you’re playing big.
If you’re playing big, you’re going to keep running into different kind of challenges. However, the biggest challenge for sure for me was losing it all in real estate.
When the real estate market changed, I wasn’t educated enough. I hadn’t invested in my education enough to know what to do with that change and I lost it all. I went from making it happen and rocking it in real estate to totally losing all I had ever made or saved and getting wiped out.
The number one reason that was so tough is it really, more than I think anything else in my life, it really challenged my self-worth.
It made me think that, wow, I guess I’ve lost it. I guess that I used to have something charisma, motivation, hunger. It made me feel so worthless, so down, so downtrodden, so beaten. That really affected me. For probably a year, I was in this mental, spiritual, financial funk. I started blaming other people. I started thinking about all the people that had screwed me in the past. I started thinking just all negative town. I was on the crazy train to negative town. That was, I have to say, that was the biggest challenge.
But let me tell you something. I’m so grateful for it. God, I’m grateful for it. Back then, I didn’t have an appreciation of money. I didn’t have an appreciation of value. I didn’t have an appreciation of people. I was so not present with people. I was such a … I was a jerk. I really was. In that, I wasn’t present. I didn’t treat people with the kind of respect I do now. I just thought I was a genius, until the market changed and I realized everyone was a genius when the market was hot. That wasn’t something special to me. That was my biggest challenge.
In the below video I share my second biggest challenge and what I learned throughout that challenge too. Here are some resources that may also help you:
