Our biggest event of the year is September 16-18th and we are calling it the Prospecting and Recruiting Summit. MLM Tips on Better Recognizing your People
How do you best recognize people on your team that are running with you and helping you build the team and doing the things that you wish that they would do?
Number one, don’t base all of your recognition on just those killing it, right? Maybe in your team you have someone that’s just like super recruiter, that’s recruiting 5 people a day. Don’t let them be the daily focus of recognition. Learn to recognize people for what it is that they’re doing too. If Sally prospects her first person, recognize the heck out of her. If Joey has been in the team for 2 years and finally got his first recruit, recognize him.
Those are great stories to recognize. You want to learn to recognize people that are putting in the effort, recognize people for attending the events, recognize people for prospecting, recognize people for getting people to meetings or getting people to a one-on-one, two-on-one or getting people on 3-way calls.
Often I see teams that they will only recognize those having fast success. Well, let me let you in on a secret. A lot of times fast success can be more discouraging than encouraging, because all the people that have been in the team longer, they’re like, “Whoa, I didn’t recruit 10 people my first day.”
