Southwest Florida twitter guy here and today I am going to talk about how to make your website better by having it checked by the pros! And for Free! This is an easy test to see how well you are doing and also lead you toward the things that will make your website better.
Step 1 – Check your websites google page rank. You can do that here –http://www.top25web.com/pagerank.php. This site will tell you on a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being the best) what Google thinks of your site. Now, just because you rank low doesn’t mean you will not be shown, it just means you have room for improvement!
Step 2 – Check out the Google webmaster tools here – https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/. This will get your site verified with Google, you can then submit a sitemap (if you don’t know what a sitemap is, just read the help files)
The above two steps should take you at maximum 20 minutes but it will give you a great idea of what it will take to get your site ranked better!
