Southwest Florida Marketer Ray Higdon here with a cool tip for you to check to see “just how good” google sees your website. There are several factors that lead to having a good pagerank but first, what is pagerank?

From Wikipedia
PageRank is a link analysis algorithm, named after Larry Page, used by the Google Internet search engine that assigns a numerical weighting to each element of a hyperlinked set of documents, such as the World Wide Web, with the purpose of “measuring” its relative importance within the set. The algorithm may be applied to any collection of entities with reciprocal quotations and references.

So pagerank looks to see what other sites link to yours and you can test yours for free at this page Keep in mind that simple link swapping (you give someone a link on your site in exchange for a link on their site) may not increase your pagerank.

Links from high pageranks pages can really help your pagerank, when you do a press release, make sure to give your full link as news sources are good backlinks to have.
