Network Marketing BusinessHave you ever wondered what you need first when starting a network marketing business? In this post, I will share the ONE THING you MUST have before and after starting a business.

Feel free to share this with your teammates. Even if they aren’t new to business, this post will help them to rapidly excel to higher levels!

What You Need First Before Starting A Network Marketing Business

The biggest thing you can do for your business is come in the door thinking long term. I think that’s the most important thing. Not “I’m going to see how it works out. I’m going to dip my toe in the water. I’ll go to 1 meeting, just 1. I’ll talk to 2 of my friends.” Instead you should come in saying, “I’m going to figure this out. I’m going to be here a year from now and I’m going to build this until it works.”

There’s different systems out there. I’m good friends with a lot of people that do different systems for attraction marketing and lead generation. There’s 10 day trials and I’ll have people say before they join, “Is it easy to cancel that 10 day trial?” My response is always don’t even bother. Literally don’t even bother with the 10 day trial if that’s your focus. If your focus is, “I’m going to see if this works for 10 days, just to be safe.” Save your money. Go spend your money elsewhere.

Long term thinking like the conversation that I had with my now wife (at the time she was my girlfriend). When I got serious about network marketing, July 15th, 2009. I went to my girlfriend Jessica and I said, “Hey, the next 2 years are going to be hell. I’m going to be on the phone non-stop, you’ve never seen me in this kind of mode. We’re not going to do romantic things. We’re not going to go to the movies. We’re not going to go to this, we’re not going to go to that.” I painted the bleakest of pictures. But I needed to have that conversation with her so that she wasn’t surprised. I don’t like being someone who bait and switches somebody. I was giving her a heads up of how it was going to go. Fortunately, thank goodness, she didn’t leave. She stuck around, she’s now my beautiful wife and she’s amazing.

Some of you have had that type of conversation with your spouse but you didn’t keep your word. Maybe you went to your spouse, you went to your girlfriend, boyfriend, husband, wife, whatever, and you said, “Hey, I want to take this really seriously, I’m going to be intense, I’m going to do this and that.” Then the next day you’re on the couch watching Luke Cage on Netflix. You’re not congruent with what you told them. Guess what? I was congruent. I was a freak of nature on the phone. I was a freaking beast, non-stop, barely even talked to Jess. There were days where I was so focused on getting out of my hell, getting out of debt, getting out of foreclosure, getting out of being dead broke, getting away from being chased my bill collectors. I was so focused on that, there were days where I probably didn’t even kiss her. It’s not smart, I’m not saying to do that. But I’m saying I kept MY WORD.
