MLM Tips to Help you Through a Rut
If you are a serious entrepreneur, or a network marketer, or really anybody attempting to accomplish big things, you’re going to have times in your life when you get into a rut. I know I’ve had them. I feel like I’m a pretty motivated dude, but I have had ruts in my life and here’s how you overcome them.
The very worst thing to do, and here’s what most people do when they come to a rut, they sit there and they focus on the wrong thing. They focus on the results. They stare at the results, they stare at their circumstances, they stare at their obstacles, all of which you can’t do anything about. You have to look at what habits have created this rut, and you need to change them. If you want to get out of a rut, you have to put in the work when you don’t feel like it.
Most people, they think that for them to be successful, they have to consistently feel like doing the work that is required. The truth is, that just isn’t the case. There’s a great book out there by my friend, Steven Pressfield, called ‘The War of Art,’ and he talks about resistance.
Success is your ability to push past and do the things that you don’t want to do. It isn’t about feeling like it. It isn’t about waking up and being so super inspired to do all the work and put in all the effort, it’s doing it anyway. It’s such a key for you to take away.
You have to understand there’s going to be days where you don’t feel like it. If you do them, you are on your way to success; if you don’t, you’re on your way to being exactly where you were last year. We don’t want that for you. We want you to accomplish amazing things because we know it’s inside of you to do that. Take this advice: Do the work that you’ve been avoiding, do the things that you don’t want to do, and you’re going to have results that you’ll only dream about.
