Dealing with Failure or Disappointment
Yesterday I was on a fun talk show and they brought up the question “What if you joined a network marketing company, got all fired up and are now just dealing with disappointment as none of the things you thought or were told would happen have happened?”
This is a great question.
Let’s start by establishing a baseline for this thing we call disappointment.
IF you are dealing with disappointment, it means not only did you prepare yourself for disappointment but you are currently not living in the present. Yep. It is impossible to actually feel disappointment unless you prepared yourself for this feeling AND you refuse to live in the present hope of today.
You know who never takes more than 30 seconds to feel disappointment? Anyone focused on their goals.
So IF you are dealing with disappointment right now, step one is to STOP and remember why you started your journey and get re-aligned with what you want to create in your life and get aligned with the possibility of creating.

What Causes Disappointment?
In Network Marketing it is common for someone to be “hyped” into joining an opportunity as some network marketers are so desperate for a sale that they will literally say ANYTHING to get someone in. These are the people that have NOT attended my events or gone through my products and they think that this business is all about making a sale and hoping for the best.
So maybe you were brought in by one of these hucksters. Maybe they promised you the moon and then disappeared into the night as soon as the ink was dry on your distributor application. Let me help you out with what to do now…
Identify why you joined.
Identify why you joined. IF you joined because of all the crazy promises of your shyster enroller that promised you the moon and their promises of how easy it was going to be and that is truly why you joined, no offense, but this just may not be the profession for you.
IF you joined because you caught a glimpse of what life could be if you controlled your own time, started making more money and creating the ability to spend more time with loved ones, then stop worrying so much about how you were brought in and get to work on doing something about it!
Can I tell you a secret?
You don’t NEED a great upline or AN upline to crush it in network marketing. You can choose to start, right now, to create the business and life of your dreams. It is going to take WORK and it isn’t going to be easy, but it WILL be worth it and the feeling of accomplishment you will have is a whole hell of a lot better than that cloak of dealing with failure and disappointment you’ve been wearing for all to see.
Some LOVE to share that they are dealing with disappointment and they share it like a badge of honor. It certainly gets you attention from others that also aren’t focused on their goals but at the end of the day, your life will never change if you are focused on being RIGHT about being disappointed.
Choose possibility and it’ll be tough for you to even remember that you ever had to deal with feeling disappointed.
