I’m going to teach you how to become a millionaire in network marketing.

First I’m going to share with you the three steps that made me my first million in network marketing. Next I’m going to share with you why most people won’t hit a million dollars. Lastly I’m going to give you the most powerful mindset hack to help you become a millionaire.

The three steps I did to make my first million. 

Okay, what are these three steps that I did to make my first million dollars inside of network marketing?

First let me give you a tiny bit of background. I limped into the network marketing space. I had been in real estate (here in the state of Florida) and in the 2008, 2009 real estate crash I got wiped out and here’s what I mean. I went through a divorce, I went into foreclosure, I was selling furniture trying to pay my bills which didn’t happen. I was sleeping on my buddy’s couch and over a million dollars in debt. Now just to put that into perspective, a homeless person on the street is worth a million dollars more than me. It’s a long story on how we got there….I mismanaged my money, I pulled equity out of properties that my partner and I had and we made a big mess.

I was in a tough spot when I limped into network marketing. A lot of people they say, “you have to have money to make money,” that’s actually not true. You have to be of a certain mindset but you don’t have to have money to make money. I joined that company with one of the last credit cards that I had because the rest of them had stopped allowing me to take their money and I wasn’t in the best shape.

Step one. 

First thing I did was read a book called Go for No. I’ve since become good friends with the authors. We actually co-authored a book called Go for No for Network Marketing since then, but I read this book. Go for No sounds like a terrible book, doesn’t it? Go for no? I want yeses! But…what it does is when you have a ‘no’ goal, it takes away your reaction to rejection and your hesitation to rejection. It makes you less scared of getting rejected (which I found inflicts most people). Most people are so scared of hearing no that they never asked the question so they never changed their life or anyone else’s. This helps to reduces that feeling. 

I’m thinking, “you know what?” This makes sense. The concept is the more people you talk to the more yeses you’ll get. That’s the concept. It’s safety and number law of averages. I thought to myself, what would make success inevitable? I decided I’m going to go for 20 no’s a day. Now warning that’s a psychopath number. Most people are not going to do the 20 no’s a day. Most people don’t get 20 no’s a month. I was going for 20 no’s a day before my head hit the pillow. I had to have 20 people tell me ‘no.’ Now that doesn’t mean that every day was a unique 20 people, sometimes I’m following up with somebody. I remember one guy told me no seven times but on that eighth time he said yes and ended up becoming a six figure a year earner in my team. Pretty cool, right? I went for 20 no’s a day by reaching out to people I know, people I don’t know using social media et cetera and that was step one of what I did.

Step two. 

Step number two, (I had a hatred for prospecting). I hated reaching out to people, but I just told you I was going for 20 no’s a day, right? but I hated it. It sucked. I looked at the list and I would call people or I would text them and just I hated doing it. I wanted an environment where people would reach out to me. That would be super cool.

On July 15th of 2009. I started doing a video a day. I’ve already warned you that I’m a little out there, a little psycho. I actually did a video a day every day for over 12 years. I stopped mid-July of 2021 while I was at a meditation retreat. I was feeling very Zen and though I’m not doing it today and I missed a day or two in the last 13 or so years. My thought was, if I do enough videos eventually someone – somewhere is going to see them and reach out to me. What was interesting is four months in, I barely generated any leads, hadn’t generated hardly any sales from the video’s….but at the end of four months, I had a guy reach out to me on one of my YouTube videos. He ended up joining my team, became my number one earner and built a team of over 10,000 people. Really, really awesome!

What was I doing? 20 no’s a day, a video a day and finally step three, self-development every day.

Step three. 

Self-development every day. I was in a bad spot. I had been drinking heavily before I started network marketing, I was depressed to be honest, because I lost it all. I went from making good money in real estate to nothing and being dead broke sleeping on my buddy’s couch. I had a big hill to climb mindset-wise. Every day I would read at least a chapter in a book,  Think and Grow Rich or Gary Vaynerchuk or whatever. Every day, I would do some kind of self-development which I still do to this day. Those are the three things that helped me become the number one income earner in that company, I got to ten thousand a month my fifth month, forty thousand a month my seventh month, fifty thousand my tenth month, became the number one earner, made millions with that company and that’s how I did it.

I started doing a video a day on July 15th of 2009 and I didn’t stop until mid July 2021. A little crazy, right? I was so committed to getting more people reaching out to me because I really preferred that method.

Why most people won’t make a million dollar in network marketing.

Why won’t most people hit this level? It should be obvious just from what I described. Do you think most people would go for 20 no’s a day, do a video a day and self-development every day? Of course not. Most people would struggle even with the simplest of those three things which is self-development every day, they’d skip weekends, right? They’re like “what…I have do it on weekends too?”

I’ve found that network marketing is the only career where people will ask the question how much do I have to do? No heart surgeon asked that. No one with a restaurant says how many dinners do I have to serve…. no one does. Only in network marketing do people say “how many do I need to recruit?” The reason that people won’t hit a high level is they don’t do the work.

They’re not doing enough reach outs or follow-ups and they get a few rejections maybe, maybe they don’t. They don’t reach out to anybody but they get a few rejections and they just doom themselves that that’s all there is…. Well remember my story? I went for 20 no’s a day. I’m getting 20 no’s every day. I’m getting rejection every hour of the day. And so it’s a very different mindset the the person that succeeds in network marketing has versus the person that just blames the industry or blames the infrastructure. This is pay for performance, this is not nepotism, this is not you get in in a good spot and it’s magical and mystical. No, no. This is pay for performance, I out earned the person that brought me in because I did more and in fact I out earned all the people above me, right, and so that’s that’s how this works….it’s pay for performance.

What is this most powerful mindset hack to become a millionaire?

This is something that I’ve heard in bits and pieces from people like Napoleon Hill and all kinds of different gurus over the years. Bob Proctor, Napoleon Hill, Wayne Dyer. So many amazing gurus but the one that really helped me the most with this is a gentleman named Neville Goddard. Neville passed away in (I believe) 1972 this guy in the 50s and 60s was teaching the most powerful mindset stuff that I’ve ever experienced. His way of teaching was that your conscious mind and specifically your emotions are writing the instructions for your subconscious to go and create your reality. The reason that most people don’t see massive transformation in their life is they’re vibrationally congruent with the results they have in their life. Meaning that their mindset is one that they just notice all the things that they don’t have or don’t want or that annoys them. Example…They want to live in a bigger house and hate the house they’re in.

They don’t understand that your emotions are propagated. If you’re feeling the emotion of annoyance or anger or disgust. You actually have to experience more of it. This is one of the issues that people that watch the news typically are negative because that’s what they’re pounded with over and over and over. If you’re noticing injustice or you’re noticing fear, you have to experience more of that because your subconscious is a non-judgmental partner that says “oh okay, that’s what you want more of…all right…..not what I would choose but okay it’s a non-judgmental partner.”

The hack is to become vibrationally incongruent with your results. You have to see yourself as something that your senses currently deny. Let me give you my example. Now when it comes to making money, our company has generated over 30 million on online so we’ve made some money. Most people may not be able to relate with that, but I have something that you can relate to with dancing.

About a year ago, I got dance lessons for my wife and I. Disclosure, I’ve never been a dancer, I’m always the guy leaning up against the wall. I’m not a dancer so I get out there and I’m like Frankenstein. Stomping my feet around and she’s just twirling and she’s like a little fairy just floating in the air. She’s amazing of course. I’m going to these classes twice a week and four months in, I still really suck. Then I realized something “oh my god. I’m not using my mindset at all.” I use my mindset in business but not here…”what the hell.” I decided, I am a better dancer and I started seeing in my mind that I was a better dancer and I started asking very important questions “what would that look like?” “How would I know it’s true?” I’m going to come back to these…hold on to these “how would I know it’s true.” How would I know it’s true? Well people would compliment me.

Well what would they say and who? I saw compliments from different people prior to them happening in congruent with my current results. I saw the dance studio owner say “very much improved.” She’s Serbian. I saw my dance instructor say “wow, impressive.” I saw those things in my mind not congruent with current results. Did I all of a sudden become an amazing dancer with no more missteps, of course not, but I didn’t dwell on them. I didn’t focus on them, I didn’t own them, I didn’t say I’m trying to boost you, right? I didn’t live congruently with them. I dismissed them as quickly as I could and tried to do it better. Within four days of having this mental vision of who I wanted to actually be, the dance instructor said “wow, impressive.” The dance studio owner said “very much improved.

Word for word what I had seen in my head. Now I’m not saying that’s going to happen all the time but ask yourself this question.

How would you know it’s true?

What would people say to you if it were true?

You start living like Dr. Joe Dispenza says, you start living in memories of your future more than memories of your past and you will change your life, that is the ultimate mindset hack.
