3 Steps to Winning Company Contests

One of the things that the best network marketing companies do is create company contests. This really enforces the difference between most corporate jobs that frankly don’t care about family time or giving you a vacation and at the same time gives you an incentive to perform. Today I found out that I was the first person (out of almost 11,000) to win our latest contest that is a 4 day stay in Atlantis and $750 spending cash, but, how did I do it?

The best network marketing companies create these incentives to give you targets, goals and also to create a little competition. It is fun seeing who really steps up when there is a contest on the line. I have seen many of my team step up their game since the announcing of the contest as have I. In this article I am going to share the 3 most important steps to winning company contests.

Step #1 – Believe You Already Won

Everyday I write affirmations. Anytime my company announces a new rank of a new contest, I start writing present tense, emotional charged affirmations. I see this as step number 1. So for example, when they announced the new rank of 6 star, I wrote this statement everyday:

“I am so happy and grateful I am a 6 star”

Once I hit the top rank, I no longer wrote it. Same with this contest they rolled out, “I am so grateful I won the trip to Atlantis”.

One thing I warn people about is projecting their success into their future. Don’t tell people you are “GOING” to win something, act in your mind like you have already won it and you are that much closer to winning.

Step #2 – Attack Your Goals

Now, when your company announces a contest, don’t blueprint when the contest ends and how much time you have, attack it now, right now. If you need to sponsor 5 people to reach it, breakdown how many people you think you will have to talk to and have 5 sponsored, then, quadruple it. If you think it is going to take talking to 20 people to get 5, talk to 80 people but talk to them the first week. Don’t mediate or plan on talking, talk! Take action! Do not tell yourself you have all the time in the world, act like you have to hit it TODAY!

Step #3 – Keep Your Power

The most important advice I can give you is the keep your power. Even the best network marketing companies will have its naysayers. Even the best network marketing companies that have everything going for them will draw criticism from others. Just don’t give away your power, ever.

So, when someone tells you it is a pyramid scheme, that it will never last, that the founders club seals and kidnap babies, don’t give in to them trying to steal your dreams and give away your power. Stay on the path of becoming something you have never been. I can tell you that I have never had as much success in network marketing as I am now and there were many times I could have thrown in the towel, but, I didn’t and I now have more freedom and fun than I ever thought possible! Always stay in power even when people tell you no. I forget who said this but someone very wise said that there are people out there that find fault like there’s a reward for it, isn’t that the truth?!?

    Good stuff Ray. This will definitely help out a bunch of people once they read this. We sometimes get so focused on the negative side of the business like the no’s or the haters when we should be taking advantage of special events like this.
