Nowadays the word ‘influencer’ is thrown around everywhere, but what does it really mean to influence?

Today I’m share a few things you can do to generate influence and grow a community.

Becoming an Influencer Means Doing These 3 Things

How do you become an influencer? I’m going to give you some things.  I’ll give them in order.

And I’m going to assume you have zero influence. Like zero, none, zilch.


So first, would be bring value.

So I’m going to break this down for you. Value = results & stories.

If I follow you on social media, does my life increase in education or entertainment, whether I buy from you or not? Ask yourself that question. If the answer is yes, you’re on the right track. If the answer is no, that’s where the value comes in.

And an incredible way to gain value is ILT. The most universal thing that you can do is ILT.

Invest, learn, teach.

So if you invested and got a leadership book and you invested the time and money to learn something…and then you taught it – that would be valuable.

And what is influence? It really means that more people listen to you, more people pay attention to you. That’s what it really means. And if you constantly provide value, then people will be coming back to pay more attention to you.

You are an influencer when you’re influential on people. So if you want to be influential, if you want people to pay attention to you, then you need to first get their attention.

Gain Results

Another way that you can gain influence is by getting results.

So for example, let’s say you lose a hundred pounds. If you keep it to yourself, no influence, but if you share that story, guess what? You’re going to be more influential. You’re going to have more people that say, “Ooh, this person has created a result that I would like in my life. Let me learn from them. Let me learn.” and they will keep coming back.

Maybe it’s a money result, “Here’s how I made my first a hundred dollars online.” What’s funny about this right here, is most people think they have to have a huge result. Most people think they have to have a huge result for them to share it. Not true. Tiny results can make you influential.

If you went online, if you made $100 in your company and you did a Facebook Live, people would tune in. You know who’d tune in? The people who haven’t made $100.

You don’t have to lose a hundred pounds. You don’t have to make $100,000 to become influential with results.
