Today I’m going to share with you how to launch a huge network marketing business and make big money.

First, I’m going to share with you the daily routine that helped me make my very first million dollars with network marketing. Next, I’m going to share the gotchas that I’ve seen over the years that may prevent you from making money. Lastly, I’m going to share the ultimate hack to help you speed up your results.

I think it’s important to share how I actually ended up in network marketing. The truth is, I first got into network marketing in 2006. I didn’t know anything about it. There was something in me that was like, “Oh, I don’t want to do network marketing...” until I met this lady and she was making $8,000 a month passively. I’m like, “dang.” At the time, my partner and I were buying real estate properties and rental properties. If it was a house or duplex it had a cashflow of $200 bucks or more a door. We would get it, put money down and then try to make money. We were making money, less than $8,000 for sure, in a very hard way, high risk, going to collect money, getting threatened, people punching holes in the walls. I was like, “man, you’re making 8,000 a month and people just buy juice from you?” That just like blew my mind. I decided, You know what, I’m going do this and I jumped into it.

I was kind of known as a business person, or I’ve always been known as a business person. I had some recruiting success, but there were a lot of pieces I didn’t understand. Long story short, it didn’t actually pan out in that company, had some bad experiences with the upline and they didn’t agree with how I did things and I wasn’t mature enough to be coachable. It didn’t work out and I swore off network marketing, “I’ll never do that again.”

Well, fast forward three years and all of the real estate that I had been doing all those years, went belly up, like literally everything. When the real estate market crash happened in 2008, 2009, I found myself broke. I had exhausted all the money I had ever made my entire life, all the money I had ever saved. I was in foreclosure, I had gone through divorce and also, everyone around me was affected by real estate, the crash, and so no one was hiring. My credit was shot and I really didn’t know what I was going to do. In July of 2009, that’s when I was positioned or got asked to be a part of a network marketing company and although I had sworn off network marking in the past, I’m thought, “you know what, I’m going to do this thing and this time I’m going to figure it out.” I became very coachable and I created a daily routine.

I created a daily routine that would make success inevitable. That’s an important question is look at your daily routine. What are you doing on a daily basis and if you continue to do that, will it make success inevitable? Now, I don’t mean what you say you are going to do. I mean, what you are actually doing. How many people are you reaching out to each day? How many people are you following up with etc. My daily routine was three things. First, I had read a book called Go for No which sounds like a terrible book, right? Because you want yeses, you don’t want no’s, right? But it teaches you how to overcome your resistance to rejection, and your reaction to rejection. I read that book and thought, “this makes sense, the more no’s I get, the more likely I am to get a yes.” So I decided I was going to go for 20 no’s a day, every single day. I detail on this blog and my YouTube channel where I found people or what I counted as a no, so I won’t go into that right now. But you can find it on my channel, if you want to check it out. I went for 20 no’s a day, every day before my head hit the pillow. I had to have 20 people tell me no. That was number one.

Number two, I hated prospecting, I hated reaching out to people. I thought, “what would be a way for people to start reaching out to me?” so I decided to start doing one video a day. I was going to do a video a day and who knows what happens in the short run, but I knew long term, eventually it would work. People start seeing my videos. Now in the beginning, it didn’t work at all. I mean, I was doing video after video after video. My mom was like, great videos, sweetie. Nobody was seeing these things. I was uploading them, total crickets. Things started taking off about month four. Now, you hear that? You might think, Well, four months isn’t that bad? Well, that was 120 videos. Most people haven’t done 120 videos in their career. Right? I was just hammered every single day putting a video out. That eventually turned into over 3,000 leads a month generated at no cost to me. It worked.

Now for number three, I did self development everyday. By the way on the videos, I actually continued that practice for over 12 years. I did a video a day from July 15th, 2009 to sometime in July 2021, believe or not. That really built a lot of my career. That’s the three things. I did a video a day, 20 no’s a day and self development every day. Every day, I was doing some form of self development. Reading a chapter in a book, listen to audiobooks, going through a course, I did all the free stuff when I was broke and then as I started making money, I started investing in myself. The last time I spent- I invested less than $100,000, in my own self development was 2012, I think, 2012, 2013. Every year, I’m looking to upgrade myself. So I did continue that practice as well.

Okay, before I get to my next point, what is your daily routine? Is it similar to mine? Do you find yourself saying you’re going to do things and not doing them? What might be keep you from making money?

Well, the first, big, big thing is if you come into network marketing, and you seek acceptance and approval, you are not going to make it. This is not going to happen. When I started network marketing, I had people make fun of me, I had people say, “Oh, God, one of those things” or “those don’t work” or “only the people at the top make money.” They’re confused about what is in the corporate world. Network marketing is pay for performance. But you have to understand that, because it’s such a low barrier to entry, a lot of people have come in with no sales training, no business acumen, no understanding of how to even talk to people. They pitch people, they have hype, people, they have made things up, they have lied and it’s given the industry a really bad name. If you think about the the infrastructure of network marketing, it makes total sense. It’s, if you have a product or service you like, and you tell other people about it, we are going to compensate you and compensate you on any of their efforts as well. What’s wrong with that? There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s amazing. What’s wrong with it, though, it’s not network marketing, It’s network marketers. It’s people that hype, it’s people that lie, it’s people that stretch the truth. It’s people that take the exception in the company, and they highlight that as the rule or this is what happens for everybody, right? If you’re going around seeking acceptance and approval, it’s extremely likely, you’re going to run into people who have had a bad experience with network marketing because a network marketer told them things that wasn’t true. You have to really make a stand for yourself and say, I’m going to do this with or without them.

When I was reaching out to people, and first I was being made fun of and they’re like, “oh, one of those things.” I’m like, I don’t like this, I like posture. I started reaching out to people that I knew and saying, “Hey, I’m going to do this with or without you, if you’re open to it great, If not, no big deal.” I was just letting them know, I would like to do it with you, that would be super cool, but I’m going to do it with or without you. That level of posture actually turned on a lot of people that said, “dang, he’s going to make a run for it….”hey, tell me more about it.” It also helped people understand that I didn’t need them to accept or approve of me, I didn’t need them to join my team, I was going to build it regardless. If you go out there seeking acceptance and approval, you’re going to have a really tough time here in network marketing.

How do you speed up your results?

Lastly, how do you speed up your results? Now, that you understand a daily routine is critical and you understand that you can’t seek acceptance or approval, stop asking for support. Stop requiring support for you to run the ball. Stop requiring support for you to go make it happen? These are your goals. These are your dreams, you have to run with them. So how do you speed up the results? Well, there are four P’s to growing a network marketing business: pipeline, position, posture, and perspective. Now I cover the other three all throughout this channel, but I’m going to focus in on perspective.

Perspective is where do you spend the majority of your time in your mind? Do you focus on all the things you don’t want like most people? Do you focus on all of your challenges and how frustrating they are and how unfair it is? Do you focus on comparing yourself to others and how they had it easy and you don’t and they don’t understand? You get more of what you focus on, whatever you focus on. To be more specific, the emotion that you are creating and holding on to is what you’re going to experience over and over. If you’re someone that you focus on how unfair life is, then you have to experience more unfairness. If you are someone that just is angry that other people had an easier than you, then unfortunately, you’re going to have to deal with more anger. The key is for you to become more aware of your emotions and instead of being on autopilot, you choose. Choose the emotion that you actually want. Choose the things that you actually want to experience and the most powerful time for that is that night.

Every single night before I go to bed, I see myself having the things in my life that I actually want. and feelings of joy, of fulfillment, of happiness, of excitement, of elation. I see myself holding the things that I want to be holding, traveling to the area’s I want to be traveling, speaking on the stages, I want to be speaking on, hearing from and seeing clients give me amazing, amazing testimonials. I see all of these things in my mind, so that I can experience it in my reality. You see, your reality is a slow moving mirror, that is a reflection of your beliefs and your thoughts. So whatever you’re holding on to, you have to verify them to be true in your reality. Now, it doesn’t happen immediately. It’s not like having a bad thought and instantly you’re hit by a car or something. But it has to be realized anything that you’re holding on to.

Every night, start this practice. Start seeing yourself as having the things that you actually want. In network marketing, maybe it’s you being recognized on social media. Ask yourself two questions, How would it feel? and how would I know it’s true? See conversations, see people giving you shout outs, see posts on social media, maybe you see one of the executives from the company calling you and congratulating you, maybe you see yourself on stage, giving that big speech and thanking people in the audience. Or maybe you see your teammates onstage thanking you from stage, that would be a powerful feeling.

How you spend your perspective dictates your speed.

Now, this is very, very powerful for you to do in any area of your life. Throughout this Blog and our YouTube Channel, I give many, many examples from ballroom dancing to generating and manifesting money, but see yourself having the income, the freedom, the ability to buy whatever it is that you want the you know, don’t just think about the money in the bank account, think about what would you do with that money. Would it be a yacht? Would it be Cancun? Wherever and whatever, see yourself as experiencing those things, and you’re going to start seeing new things show up in your life that will completely set you in a new direction.
