Today I’m going to show you how to get rich through network marketing.
First, I’m going to share with you the three principles that guarantee if you’re making money or not. Every single person that has ever made money in network marketing has done these three steps and you need to do them too. I’m going to share them with you. Next I’m going to share a crucial element that will help you get results faster in all areas of your life. Lastly, I’m going to give you an exercise that if you follow it, it only takes a few minutes a day, it will drastically change how much money you’re making.
Now, first of all, this isn’t theory. Not only have I worked with a lot of six and seven figure earners and worked with companies and executives. Before I ever was a coach or a trainer for network marketing, I was the number one income earner in a company that I joined when I was dead broke. I know what it’s like…maybe you’re struggling right now, maybe you really need to make some money and you join this network marketing thing as a last hope or last ditch effort kind of thing. I have been there, so I know what it takes. You really need to pay attention to this post, because I am going to break it down for you.
What are the three principles that guarantee how much money you are making?
The three principles that guarantee how much money you are making, and if you’re making money in network marketing, they come down to this… I’m going to break all three down for you. Write these down.
Number one, pipeline, number two, posture, number three position. Now, you may not know what those mean, especially if you’re new to my training (By the way, make sure you subscribe to my YouTube channel if you’re serious about growing your network marketing business.
Anyways, let’s cover number one, pipeline. Pipeline is the same for anything performance-based. If you were going door to door selling solar, if you were doing mortgages, if you were a realtor, if you were anything performance-based, you would have to have a pipeline. A pipeline is how many people are you reaching out to, how many people you talking to? How many appointments are you setting? How many presentations are you doing, depending on what your product or services, maybe how many samples you’re sending, or how many demonstrations you’re doing.
Pipeline is really your numbers, what are your numbers.
There’s a lot of people that are frustrated, because they’re not making money in network marketing, but they don’t have a pipeline. They’re not talking to anybody. It’s like the realtor that gets their license and then hides their business cards and signs in the garage…they don’t make money, right? No one knows? Who knows that they’re a realtor, right? Nobody. If you’re in network marketing, you have to be connecting with people, you have to be communicating what it is that you’re doing and how you can possibly help them. You can do that through marketing, you can do it through prospecting and we will talk more about that in this post. But pipeline, take a real look at this one most important question, how many people last week did you ask if they were open to learning more about your product, service or opportunity? If that number is zero, or if it’s in the lower digits, right? Less than 10, then you’re not on a path to become a top earner in your company. You might make some money, but you really need to look at that. Pipeline is such a big key.
Number two, posture. This is the number one difference between someone who recruits a lot of people and someone who does not. Posture is the number one difference. Posture is the belief in what you have, regardless of external acceptance or approval. How are you handling it? If someone says, “oh, network marketing doesn’t work?” Or “oh, that’s one of those pyramid things?” Or do you have anti-MLM people attacking you? How do you handle it? Do they get in your head? Do they make you doubt it? Do they make you wonder, “am I doing the right thing? Should I be doing this or doing something else?” Well, if they get in your head, if you’re affected by the negativity outside of you, then you’re not postured. Having posture means that you don’t need people to agree with you. You don’t need people to accept or approve of your goals and your career direction. I’ll give you a fun example.
If you were out on the playground and someone said, “hey, is that your kid over there?”
“Yeah, that’s my kid.”
And they said, “man they are ugly.”
You wouldn’t try to convince them. You wouldn’t say how can I get them to think differently? How can I get them to approve of my kids’ appearance? You would say, “get the hell out of here,” right? Because you’re postured around your kids appearance, I hope!
Don’t be so easy to blow like a leaf in the wind. If someone is negative about network marketing as a whole or your company or your product or your service. Stay postured. The less you’re affected by negative people, the more you’re going to connect with other people and the better your chances are at reaching your goals.
Third is position. Now, position is very powerful, and it’s a source of frustration for a lot of people. If you go to your friends and family members and say, “Hey, I just joined this business, you should totally join me…” They don’t know anything about it and you don’t know if they’re even interested in it at all, then you’re out of position. This is a very common experience in the network marketing space, because people are so eager to make money in network marketing but they also don’t know how to do it. They haven’t been trained well, right? Network marketing is great, because you don’t have to get a certificate, you don’t have to get a degree but the problem is, you also don’t have to train, you don’t have to study. A lot of people, they lose friends and family members that might have supported them, because they go to them in the wrong position. No matter if you know someone or you don’t know, someone assumes that everyone is in position zero, which means you have no idea if they’re interested or not, you have no idea if they’re open to the idea or not.
First, you need to see if they’re open. There may be people in your life that never move out of that position. If I go to someone and say (whether I know them or not) “hey, would you be open and take a look at what I’m doing to make some extra money?” Or I lead with the product. “Hey, would you be open take a look at this product I’m taking that gives me amazing energy or helps me sleep at night or saves me on travel….” or whatever the benefit of your product or services. If they say “no,” then I’m like, “cool, no problem. Hey, have a great day.” They remain at position zero. I don’t browbeat them. I don’t say, “well, why not? What’s wrong with you? Why don’t you want to make more money?” Because they’re in position zero for their own reasons, whatever. Maybe they don’t trust you. Maybe they are stressed out, maybe they just found out their kid has a sickness or an illness, you don’t know why they’re not open. But you do know that they’re not open, so you don’t move forward.
If you say to them, “hey, would you be open to take a look?” And they say “yes.” Okay, now I see them in position one. That means they said, hey, I’m open to checking it out, doesn’t mean they’re ready to join, doesn’t mean they’re ready to pull out the credit card, but they’re at least open to taking a look at what it is that you have. That’s pretty cool. As you move up the positions, your chances of closing them increases and that’s a topic we cover a lot on our YouTube channel.
Let’s hear from you.
Before we get to my last two points, I would love to hear from you. What was the most beneficial thing you’ve read so far in this post? What was most helpful to you? What can I maybe expand on? I respond to every single comment, so make sure you drop me a comment, give me some feedback, let me know how am I helping you? Or is there something you’re still struggling with?
What is the magic bullet?
Alright, so what is this magic bullet that helps you get results faster? It’s actually the fourth P. We covered pipeline, posture, and position. There’s actually a fourth P and that fourth P is perspective. Perspective: that is where you spend the majority of your time in your mind. Here’s the reality, you are crafting your future, but you’re either doing it from the familiar past or you’re creating something new. Most people….research shows that we have 60 to 70,000 thoughts a day, and 90% of them are the same thoughts we had the day before. If you are in a bad situation, a bad financial situation, a bad relationship, a bad living situation, it’s very likely that you’re having a lot of negative thoughts and you may not think that you’re creating anything, but you’re actually creating scenarios that are familiar to you, which is often not the greatest. Well, did you know that by changing your thoughts, you can actually change the choices that you make?
You can change your behavior, you can change your experience, which will eventually lead to you changing your emotions. Once you start to change your emotions, and you start to actually feel better about what it is that you’re doing, everything in your life starts to change. When it comes to perspective, and you’re reaching out to someone…. So let’s talk about pipeline, you’re reaching out to someone or you’re following up with someone or you’re doing marketing and people are reaching out to you or you’re prospecting and connecting with them. What are your thoughts during that process? Are you thinking, “oh, why would they want to join me?” Right? “Well, who am I to even tell them about this? I don’t have success yet….” “Well, they don’t even like me, and they’re definitely gonna say no.” You see, if you are having negative thoughts during this process, you are affecting your results. A powerful perspective has you start to think more about what it is that you want, than what it is that you don’t want.
The number one skill that you can learn is seeing things the way you wish they were before they are that way. Even though your eyeballs are telling you, you don’t have a team, even though your eyeballs and your ears are telling you that people are rejecting you left and right, you see in your team at the size you want them to be. You see yourself crossing that stage, you see yourself celebrating with that trophy and you start to see yourself in a better situation than you currently are. That’s perspective.
I have a quick exercise for you. I actually do this every single morning. In fact, yesterday I did it twice. If I’m feeling negative, if I’m feeling like I have some stress going on or whatever, I’ll do this exercise. Here it is. I’m going to shorten it for you because it’s a very simple exercise. But number one, take the time to be aware of your thoughts. Write them down, what are you thinking right now or while you’re building your business or right before you start to reach out to people or do your marketing videos? What are your thoughts? Catalog that and ask yourself what are the thoughts I no longer want to have? Now the minute you start to observe your thoughts, you’re no longer the thoughts, you’re no longer the automatic program, you’re no longer the past just regurgitating itself into the familiar from the familiar past into the predictable future, right?
As soon as you observe your thoughts, you’re no longer your thoughts. For you to overcome yourself, you have to know yourself and there’s nothing you can do until you start to become aware of your thoughts. What are the thoughts that you’re currently thinking that you no longer want to think? Is it that you’re not worthy? Is it that money is difficult to make? Is it that the times that we are in, people aren’t buying this kind of thing, whatever you’re thinking, I guarantee you doesn’t have to be true, but you’ll always verify what you’re thinking to be true, right? And that’ll become your reality. After you write down what are the thoughts I no longer want to have written down? What are the thoughts I do want to have and start to step more into that future version of yourself starts to see yourself succeeding. What would that look like? What would it feel like? How would I know it’s true? And you take that time, and I do it every single morning, sometimes more than once a day. But every single morning, I take the time to say what are my thoughts? What are the thoughts I no longer want to have? And I reflect on the day before? How did I show up the day before? Was I kind? Was I present? Was I loving? Did I get angry? Did my daughter make me mad? Right? She’s strong willed…she can push my buttons. Sometimes it’s because someone pushed my buttons yesterday, I don’t want to think that way anymore. How do I want to think today? You incorporate that exercise, and you’re going to see massive, massive change in your life.
Let me help you.
