Today I am sharing why I think the book Rework by Jason Fried is one of the most important business books out there.

IF you are serious about being a smarter entrepreneur, watch the video with all my notes and thoughts on this epic book.

Quotes from Rework by Jason Fried

“What you do is what matters, not what you think or say or plan.”
― Jason Fried (Click to Tweet)

“If you’re a copycat, you can never keep up. You’re always in a passive position. You never lead; you always follow. You give birth to something that’s already behind the times—just a knockoff, an inferior version of the original. That’s no way to live.”
― Jason Fried (Click to Tweet)

“Meetings: “They often include at least one moron who inevitably
gets his turn to waste everyone’s time
with nonsense”.”
― Jason Fried (Click to Tweet)

“To do great work, you need to feel that you’re making a difference. That you’re putting a meaningful dent in the universe. That you are part of something important.”
― Jason Fried (Click to Tweet)

“If you constantly fret about timing things perfectly, they’ll never happen.”
― Jason Fried (Click to Tweet)

“If no one’s upset by what you’re saying, you’re probably not pushing hard enough. (And you’re probably boring, too.)”
― Jason Fried (Click to Tweet)

Why I Love this Jason Fried Book

In the below video I share 8 notes from Rework by Jason Fried, IF you consider yourself an entrepreneur, you will learn a lot from them and probably want to rush out to get your copy of Rework.

Now, I realize not everyone that sees this review is a true entrepreneur but I believe that whatever business you are in, whether it is Network Marketing, affiliate marketing or truly any business, you need to learn how to think like a business owner and hence, like an entrepreneur.

I fully believe that one of the big reasons so few network marketers ever make it is they think more like children than entrepreneurs. If Mommy/Daddy (their upline) motivates them to work, they do, and if Mommy/Daddy don’t, they don’t and they complain how bad their parents are.

IF you decide that your success is 100% reliant on YOU and YOUR efforts, you will create success even if Mommy/Daddy are total slackers and drink heavily everyday.

Rework by Jason Fried is an great business book. Like I said, in the video below I share my 8 best notes from the book but let me share with you two of the notes that apply to every single entrepreneur.

1. If you build an audience you don’t have to buy their attention, they give it to you. This was one of the BIG ideas behind our latest product launch, the 3 minute expert. In that product we teach people how to become authorities in their marketplace so that they create their own audience and establish themselves as credible authorities. It is literally like cheating when you have your own audience that looks up to and respects you.

2. Instead of outspending or even outselling your competition, focus on OUTTEACHING them. We teach everything we do. There literally isn’t one thing we do in our business that we don’t share in our products and to our coaching and mastermind clients. We focus on producing more teaching content than anyone else in our niche and that is what has led us to blogging 5-7 times per week for five years as well as create podcasts on an almost daily basis.

IF you just get the above two points, then this post has been worth it for you but if you want the rest of my notes, watch the video below!
