How To Get Your Network Marketing Teammates Excited & Producing

In most network marketing companies, every person on your team is contributing to your volume and your income because most of them are on auto ship. I always wanna help you keep that in mind. Because some people will lose sight of that and they will be like, “Man, my team’s not doing anything. How do I get these schmuckaroos to do something?”

They’re doing something because they’re ordering product.

They’re ordering stuff from you and so they’re doing something so let’s give them a little bit of reverence here. Let’s love on them a little bit.

Example: Gym Owners

Gym owners get this. I talk about this analogy all the time, but I gotta hammer it because people need to hear it.

So, gym owners get this more than most network marketing leaders. Most network marketing leaders if they just thought like a gym owner they’d be a lot better off.

If I go into the gym and let’s say I go into the gym, I do the treadmill for seven minutes, I go get my 2200 calorie peanut butter banana chocolate milkshake. The gym owner doesn’t corner me and say:

“Hey man, you’re not getting any results. How do I get you more excited? How do I get you more fired up. So you can get diesel and so that you can rip phone books and flip tires and bend anchors? How do I get you more ripped and more fired up to get in better shape?

Does a gym owner ever say that? Will they ever say that? No. Because I pay my auto ship. I mean, membership.

So, I come in there and they’re like, “Hey, how ya doing big guy? Looking good. Hey, make sure you get that shake, Man. Tell you what. Here’s a ten percent off coupon.”

Seven minutes of row machine, burn four calories, go get my 2200 calorie peanut butter banana chocolate smoothie.  So, I’m gaining 2196 calories every time I go to the gym, but I feel go going and that gym owner is totally cool with that, isn’t he?

Now, you may think, that’s not very ethical, right?  Well, what you need to realize especially if you’re an alpha leader is that people have the capacity to be happy whether they’re making money in your organization or not.

What would chase them away is if a gym owner, if you like the gym owner corners me and says, “Bro, lift up that shirt. I don’t see six pack abs. What’s up with that? What’s wrong with you? Why aren’t you excited?”

I’ll be like, “I’m outta here and I’ll cancel my auto ship. I mean, membership.”

If you make your teammates feel like losers or feel like they’re just not what you want and they really are disappointing you, then they’re not gonna hang around. They’re gonna leave. They’re gonna cancel their auto ship, they’re gonna go to another company that makes them feel good and actually values their money that they spend on a monthly basis if they’re on auto ship of course.

How To Get Them Excited

You can’t dictate excitement, but what you can do is you can be an example of what you wish they would become.

You can be an example by you bringing new people in.

The best thing you can do for your existing team is build a new one instead of climbing up in the lifeguard chair and saying, “Be excited, guys. You can do it.”

Instead of that, you get in the trenches and bring new blood into the team constantly. Welcoming new people and show them how it’s done.

When someone’s ready to run, you clamp onto them. You give them homework, you point them to the tools, you point them to the system, point them to the trained archive or whatever it is that you use and that’s what you do. That’s how you handle it.
