Most facebook marketing gurus aren’t telling you something that is crucial to building a following on facebook.

Here I share exactly how to market your MLM on Facebook and where to be, Facebook Page VS Profile.

Do Business or ARE a Business?

Many people come to me and say they are told that they aren’t supposed to DO business on their facebook profile..

That’s a misunderstanding.

You’re not supposed to BE a business on a personal profile. But you can DO business on your personal profile.

[mashtweet tweet=”You’re not supposed to BE a business on a personal profile. But you can DO business on your personal profile.” quote=”You’re not supposed to BE a business on a personal profile. But you can DO business on your personal profile.”]

Here’s the difference:

If you’re Joe’s Plumbing, then you should be a page. That’s a company. You should not be a personal profile. If you started a personal profile and it’s like, “Joe’s Plumbing” then that’s going to be a problem because that’s not a human being. It’s a business.

But if you’re Joe Smith that owns Joe’s Plumbing and you talk about Joe’s Plumbing all the time, that’s fine as a profile.

So, you can talk about business, you can’t BE a business. And that’s the misunderstanding.

A lot of people think that, “Oh, my goodness, I can’t talk about my profile.”

Well, here’s the deal and I thought this for years. I really thought that you really should focus on building your page because it’s unlimited. You’re not capped at 5,000 friends and have the ability to do ads. But, Facebook has just constantly year after year after year turn the knobs on those who aren’t spending money on advertising, it’s just getting less and less and less and less reach for those not spending money on ads.

For example:

If you do a live on your page, some people get two people.

If you do it on your profile, some people get a hundred people.

Facebook has consistently moved toward only honoring pages that do ads.

Now, we drop a lot of ads. We have spent millions of dollars on ads and we do a lot of advertising. A page definitely makes sense for us.

If you do not have a plan to do advertising (and that’s okay if you don’t), I would stick to your personal profile.

2 Rules About Advertising

Now, two rules about advertising.

1. You Have To Track

If you do a Facebook live and you give out a website and you’re like, “Hey, go to www.GrapityGrape.com/Kathryn.” If you shout that out from Facebook Live on page profile or wherever and then you do an ad driving to that same link, you’ve already lost because which one is working? You don’t know.

You have to know specifically.

We will have at any given time, 50-60 ads running and most of them be in split test against other and we’re seeing the stats are preforming best. We know if a sale is made or a lead is generated, we know which exact ad it came from.

Which leads me to my second rule.

2. The Point Of Advertising Is To Create The Ability To Spend More

If you do an advertising, the point of advertising is to create the ability to spend more.

That probably sounds funny to some people who are maybe newer to business or just not used to thinking like a business owner.

But the point of advertising is to create the ability to spend more.

We have Instagram Story ads that for every dollar we put in, we make $4.

If you’re in Vegas and you put a dollar in and every time you put a dollar in, $4 came out, how many dollars would you put in? As many as you could, as long as it kept working.

You’re like, “Give me more dollars.” You’d feed them in there as fast as you could and make it rain. And so, the point of advertising is to create the ability to spend more.

If you think that advertising is to just promote a flash sale, then you’re not truly understanding advertising.

Advertising is:

The art of testing and measuring to get a proven and reliable return on your investment. Which takes effort, which takes time, which takes some know-how or working with the right people, ect.

For most in network marketing is you probably stick to their profile. Hopefully, that helps you out.
