How to Build Mental Toughness
Let’s talk about that last one by Robert Frost…The Best Way out is Always Through.
A common type of person that always struggles with their business is focused on all the reasons they cannot do it and boy, do they have some good arguments! They will tell their friends, neighbors, uplines, crosslines, basically whoever will listen why they are stuck where they are. They will share all the reasons why their job keeps them down, their spouse belittles them, how health has held them back, how they simply don’t have the finances and “it takes money to make money”, they will do everything in their verbal power to convince all those around them that they cannot possibly be successful…and this is why they aren’t.
If you have enough time to tell everyone why you CAN’T succeed then you have enough time to instead do the actions needed for you TO succeed.
Justifying where you are, keeps you where you are. Telling it like it is, keeps it like it is.
Stop playing that same damn record and instead get to work. Getting to work does NOT mean telling a new story it means taking a new set of actions. It means doing the things you know you should be doing to inch ever so closer to your goals.
The best way out is always through…
You must learn how to build mental toughness if you are going to push past all the obstacles that you SHOULD have. That’s right, MOST that build an amazing lifestyle had obstacles and tough circumstances, it was NOT the absence of these that made them great it was very much the PRESENCE of obstacles and tough times that made them strive for a better life.
IF you have a tough life, it is your DUTY to create something wonderful because you would not have been handed that tough life without the need to create an amazing story. Your story of overcoming obstacles has the potential to inspire a nation and when you learn how to build mental toughness you will be able to see it through. Here are some helpful steps for you:
1. Don’t require acceptance of approval. Literally no one around me thought it was a good idea to leave a high paying salary to become an entrepreneur, I didn’t have some big community of support, I had none but did it anyway. Start moving toward your dreams without the unneeded requirement of acceptance and approval.
2. Change your friends. Birds of a feather flock together, this is true in winning and losing. IF you have a bunch of tough circumstances in your life you have probably attracted people with similar afflictions, change em unless they too want to change.
3. Stop being addicted to the outcome. Someone tell you no? So what, move on to the next person. Someone not work the way you wish? So what, show them what’s possible. Someone not react the way you had hoped? So what, go get it done!
You have what it takes AND, by virtue of you reading this article, you are MEANT to create a successful life. Think about it..of all the blogs out there, you ran across this one. You are meant to create a life of success, go get it!
