4 Essential Methods To Increase Blog Traffic

We’ve done a lot of different marketing in the past years. We have done everything from podcast, Facebook, Periscope, ect. And yet, my favorite is still blogging. We get leads and sales from blog posts that we created five years ago. It’s crazy! Blog posts (once created) stay out there forever. Increasing your Blog Traffic is vital for people to actually see your content. Here are 4 essential tips to do just that.

1. Understand Who You’re Trying To Attract and What Problems They Have.

One of the big mistakes that I see is people that maybe are in health and wellness. One day they’re talking about the antioxidant scores of blueberries and the other day they’re talking about making money on Craigslist. You’re not Huffington Post. You can’t post about all kinds of different things and just hope that people find it. You need to be more specific.

Think to yourself, who do you want to attract. Do you want to attract someone interested in health and wellness? Do you want to attract someone who’s into network marketing? Do you want to attract someone who’s interested in making money from home, being a parent, or working out? You need to decide who is it that you’re wanting to attract and speak specifically to them. Provide them value. Solve their problems. Help them attain their desires. Entertain them and educate them.

2. Be Consistent.

I know some people that they’ll blog once a week for four weeks, and they’re like, “I’m not getting any traffic.” No wonder. Right? You’re just not creating enough content to attract people.  Now people will ask me, they’re like, “Well Ray, do I have to blog everyday? Do I have to do that?” Right?

To me it’s a weird question because I’m fired up to provide value to my audience. I’m fired up to come out here and answer your questions and help you and solve your problems. I’m just crazy right? I like providing value, I like teaching. I like training, I like educating. I love getting testimonials from people that say, “Oh my gosh, you’re training changed my life or saved my marriage, or helped me raise better kids,” or whatever. I love hearing that stuff. I’m fired up to provide value each and every day.

3.  Promote Your Blog (LIVE)

The hottest, the most crazy type of marketing that we’re doing right now is Facebook live. Our fan page last week reached 2.5 million people. Isn’t that awesome? That’s all organically. Isn’t that crazy? 2.5 million people.

If I look at my posts, when we do a great image post that people really love, we may reach 10,000 to 40,000 people. When we do a blog post that people really love, it will be between 5,000 to 10,000. When we do a Facebook live, we may reach up to 350,000.

If you’re blogging about a topic, why not do a Facebook live expanded on that topic and telling people to go check out your blog if they want more information.

If you do a blog about the ten fruits to avoid if you want to get rid of love handles.(I don’t know, I’m just throwing this out there.) Maybe you do a Facebook live on three exercises to get rid of love handles, and at the end of that Facebook live, you say, “By the way, if you’d like to know the fruits to avoid, head on over to my blog at blahblahblah.com/blog.”

4. Make Sure You Understand The Whole Point Of A Blog.

The entire point of a blog is to generate leads and to get people on your e-mail list. There is no point to you blogging if you don’t have a giveaway to capture leads. The reason we blog so much is that we want to attract people to our blog and get them on our e-mail list. That’s what we’re doing with blogging.
