Presenting Your Network Marketing Business Opportunity
If you are after the big money in your Network Marketing Business Opportunity, better learn to pick up that clicker or marker as the person doing the presenting is usually the one making the most money. This blog post will share some of my presenting secrets to help you get better at presenting your MLM business.
Do I Really Have to Present to Make Money in MLM?
Well, no, you don’t, but you greatly increase your chances if you do. I know people that have made a ton of money in their multi-level marketing company that never did presentations but most would call them lucky. If you want to make big money and you don’t want to rely on lady luck, get better at presenting.
Keep in mind that webinars are a form of presenting. If you are terrified of doing public speaking you could always try to do webinars, I can touch on that a bit in this post as well.
What Really Matters in a Network Marketing Presentation
Most people think that the most important thing about presenting about your Network Marketing Business Opportunity is to get all the facts out there, not screw up and be able to answer every question, right? Well, wrong. None of those things are the most important piece of a good MLM presentation. The MOST important piece of you presenting your MLM opportunity is transferring the belief that the person watching can do what you are doing. Remember how your speech teacher told you never to read off the screen? Well, feel free to in Network Marketing because this business is ALL about getting others to believe they can do it versus try to come across as a professionally trained speaker. Feel free to POINT OUT that you are reading off the screen, or, even better, most people in our company just press play and let the company presentation do the work for them, do you think the person in the audience believes they can press the play button? Of course they do.
Advanced MLM Presenting Strategy: Devil’s Advocate
If you are around your business for any length of time you will find certain questions/objections that people come up with specific to your product or company. Here are some examples:
Energy Deregulation Companies
– Do you really think the government or the big power companies will allow an MLM to have any sizable chunk of the market?
– What happens when Dr Oz features the grapefruit diet and my downline decides to do that instead?
– Why are we different than the 4,500 other companies in this niche?
– Aren’t these coins overpriced?
– Shouldn’t I just buy bullion instead?
Now, I didn’t say they were GOOD questions but there are certain objections that prospects have that come up more often than not. What you do by being devil’s advocate is you say what is in their mind before they voice it. Here is an example of what I say in a presentation:
When I first saw these coins I thought, aren’t they just a $40 hunk of metal? So I asked my upline and they told me to research the different retail coin websites out there such as HSN, ShopNBC, Govmint, Denver Mint, Franklin Mint and First Federal coin. I was shocked that not only were Numis prices competitive but in a lot of cases, we were the best price out there.
See how that works? This process is actually detailed more in a book called “Spin Selling” where they studied the best sales people in different industries and found that they rarely answered or dealt with objections as they actually covered the objections INSIDE of their presentations.
Point Out That You Do Not Know Everything
This reduces resistance in your prospects when they learn that you do not know everything and that they too can build a business they are not an expert of. Most people think it is about being perfect and knowing how to answer any conceivable question…lighten up and you will build a better business. Isn’t it neat that you can make tons of money in this industry without being an expert on all things about your company? I hope this helps you get over the fear of being perfect in your presenting!
