Essential duties & responsibilities:

One of the key roles of this job will be to lead the development and implementation of solid policies and procedures for all aspects of finance and accounting in our company. Another key initiative will be implementing a new online accounting system.

  • Balancing books
  • Development of Accounting Processes/Procedures
  • Analyzing methods and processes for improvement
  • Data entry
  • Generate reports (may compile reports to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, balance sheets, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to operation of business)
  • Prepare documentation of analysis and procedures
  • Keeps records of financial transactions
  • Reconciles and balances accounts
  • Handling of payments to affiliates, contractors, vendors, etc…
  • Assist with filing and management of state records for entities
  • Provide insight and understanding of balance sheet and P&L relationship
  • Merchant accountant management
  • Able to research and select key financial systems to be used ie. contractor payment solution, online accounting system
  • CRM Reporting and Metrics – create and monitor customer reporting metrics
  • Customer Billing Issues
  • Collection Calls and past due balances calls
  • Chargebacks
  • JV/Affiliate Reporting and Payout
  • Reconciliation of Speaking/Webinar Payouts
  • Affiliate Payouts
  • Tracking to ensure we receive payment


  • MUST be proficient with online accounting systems such as Quickbooks Online or Xero
  • Must have 3-5 years experience in accounting/bookkeeping
  • Must have 2 years experience as a Controller
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Great organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Prefers an individual with experience in all aspects of job responsibilities
  • Must be organized and detailed oriented
  • Must have experience with MS Excel and ability to demonstrate it
  • Experience working with small business owners
  • Must be able to provide excellent references
  • Must be tech savvy and able to easily figure out and understand technology
  • Experience in creating and running Infusionsoft reports is a bonus

Candidates may reside anywhere within the continental United States.
