    Ray-

    This training is incredibly useful! – especially when prospecting binary victims

    Thank You Very Much!

    Thought I’d share my answer to a common bit of wishful thinking- Numis executives who want to make commissions buying coins at their own retail site…
    I did not get this information from Numis support, but in the back office training area.

    The question is answered by an explanation of the nature of commissions. See- your back office compensation plan training video – about 1/3 of the way through.

    Retail commissions are paid when a retail customer visits a distributor’s website and makes a purchase.

    There are 2 types of customers- retail and preferred.

    Commissions are the difference between the price paid by the customer, and the discounted representative price.

    Retail customer example =>

    A retail customer buys a coin at a Numis representative distributor’s site and pays the full retail price of $119.95, (the representative price being $99.95, as the representative is a preferred customer) The representative will be paid $119.95 – $99.95 = $20.00 commission.

    Preferred customer example =>

    Numis representative distributor buys at his or her own site – being a preferred customer – (having purchased the fast track collector’s kit & enjoying special reduced pricing) – rather than a retail customer; and selling to them self – likewise with the status of a preferred customer (having purchased a fast track collector’s kit & enjoying special reduced pricing) His or her commission would then be $99.95 – $99.95 = $0

    Note- there is no way around this result, as someone in the equation will always be forking over the $20.00 necessary to generate the corresponding $20.00. commission.

    [...] One area where people believe the compensation plan is too good to be true is in the coded matching bonus. When you first see the 2 star coded matching bonus it appears like everyone through infinity is getting a $100 bonus, which, obviously cannot be true. Pay attention to the staggering nature of that bonus and it will make sense as no one gets a 100% match on their first 3 as that is their 1 star code.
