Help to those struggling to market their MLM on Facebook

As a top earner in network marketing with my main number of signups coming from the Internet, mainly Facebook, I get asked questions all the time on how to respond to people via facebook when marketing your mlm. Facebook is an awesome, awesome place to find people for your network marketing company IF you play by a certain number of rules. Now, what most network marketers using Facebook really need is some marketing guidance and this blog and video should help you with that:

So, in this scenario, my girlfriend was doing what I do which is I send straight forward messages to people on facebook with a quick line seeing if I can get a quick no. Sometimes, it will generate a yes as I typically enroll 1-3 people a week from Facebook that I have never met. Now, for one person she sent a message to, that person then posted a blatant advertising message on her public wall, something a leader would never do. So, I suggested to her to delete the ad from her wall and then send a private message offering assistance with marketing ideas for facebook that may actually work. You always want to offer value and even if someone does not join your business, they will want to hang around you if you are someone who always offers value.

Fort Myers Holiday event tongiht! For many families in Southwest Florida, Christmas time is much less than joyful.  It’s a reminder that they cannot support their families and do not have the resources to make Christmas Merry.  For 3 years now the Executive Council of SWFL has teamed up with the Boys & Girls Clubs to make Christmas a joyous holiday.  Each year the Executive Council raises money to purchase presents, have food, and fun games for some of the neediest families in the area.

In the picture attached in this blog you can see the smile on 6 year old Dakota’s face when he received a gift from Santa. What you can’t see is the smile on Dakota’s mom’s face as well.  Without the help of generous people like you, Dakota’s mother would not be able to provide this childlike happiness for her son.

In order to raise money for this Christmas party that takes place on December 16th, the Executive Council is holding a Happy Hour at the Reserve Wine & Cigar Bar this

Friday, December 4th from 5:30 - 7:30pm.

Happy 2009 everyone

How are you doing? How have you been? I am writing this note as I guess I started a tradition last year of taking a few minutes (or hours) to reflect back on the year and talk about what I have to be thankful for. 2009 brought me more life changing revelations and gifts than every other year in my life COMBINED! I am so happy and grateful to have so many wonderful things happening in my life and to have happened in my life.

I had two major things happen in my life this year. (1) I recconnected with my Dad after 13 years and introduced him to his grandkids. A lot of you have heard that story, if you would like to read that, you can visit my blog at http://rayhigdon.com/my-note-to-my-dad-after-seeing-him-for-the-1st-time-in-13-years/ This is an event that changed my life, freed me mentally from some of the past baggage I had been carrying around and helped my kids understand a whole new chapter in their lives.

The second major thing, most of you have not heard. I learned why I have had every success and every failure in my life. Now that is a pretty bold statement right? It is the truth. For years I have gone around jumping from business to business from network marketing company to network marketing company to real estate to internet marketing and the list goes on and on and on. I always liked doing multiple things and some people called me a “Serial Entrepreneur”. However, I never grew ANY of them to a point of MASSIVE success. I never knew why, until this year…

This year I was introduced to an education company called Landmark - http://www.LandmarkEducation.com by a beautiful woman named Stina. Stina, changed my life. It was in this course that I was able to let go of all the past crap I had been hauling around about my childhood and my family matters and open up a whole new world. Thank you Stina, you are a brilliant light that shines on this planet and please continue to just do what you do. Now, in these courses I found out what they call my “Act”.

An “Act” is a declarative statement that we made to the world when we were in our younger years. We ALL have an act and was probably formed between the ages of 5 and 8 and it usually had to do with an authority figure (teacher, parent, grandparent, etc). Your Act is in 5 year old vocabulary and it is what you declared to the world based on an event happening that was impressionable upon you. Here is one example:

I have a friend, lets call him Max. When Max was 5 years old his Dad used to pick him up and put him on his little motorbike and let him drive it around. When Max wanted to get off, he would drive around the yard in circles which signaled his Dad to pick him up off the bike. Well, one day, his Dad was under a car working on it and didn’t hear Max. Max drive around and around until it ran out of gas, tipping the bike over and burning Max’s leg. That day, Max decided that he could not trust anyone. Max’s entire life has been filled, since 5 years old, of examples where he could not trust people. Problems in delegation, problems in managing others, even problems in relationships. But once Max learned what was making him tick, he was able to change it and now lives a much more empowered life.

So back to me…what is my act? I had what you would call a rough childhood and when I was 5 or 6 years old, something happened to make me declare to the world, “I’ll Show You”. Every success and every failure in my entire life has been based around those three words…without my knowledge! You see, up until this year I had been on automatic programming but I didn’t even know it! Let me give you some examples:

When I was in my teenage years, I’ll show you showed up in very ugly ways. I wanted to make people pay if they pissed me off, I wanted people to regret messing with me. Now, I’ll show you isn’t always bad. In corporate America I was trying to obtain a position that required a masters degree and 10 years experience, but I only had 1 semester of college and 1 year of experience but I felt I could do that job! Someone on the hiring committee said to me, “Everyone is asking for $200,000 a year, hell, we may even hire YOU!” And he laughed. My “I’ll show you” kicked in and I got that job.

You see, “I’ll show you” has actually served me well, to a degree. I have had meteoric success in almost anything I have ever done. When I worked for Sony, my superior told me he gave me the highest review the company had ever given anyone in their first 90 days. In my first network marketing company I was ranked #2 out of 500,000 as a team builder, and on and on and on. You see, I’ll show you has made me have major, quick success in all kinds of different areas, but, ONCE I’VE “SHOWN” YOU, I lose interest. You see, my whole life has been about showing other people that I am worthy. My whole life has been about proving myself to others. After getting people to believe I am good at what I do, I no longer have anything to prove or show and I move onto the next thing where I prove someone something else. Landmark education helped me recognize this and has forever changed my life. It’s funny because the people close to me, see this difference in me. This lack of need to prove myself. You see, with awareness I can make different decisions, I can choose a path that is right for me versus an automatic “I’ll show you” path.

So, done are the days where I jump from company to company, done are the days where I feel the challenge of the world forcing me to prove myself, this has opened up a whole new life. A life, that I am so very thankful and grateful for. I wish you many successes. No matter where you are in life, you can be happy. It doesn’t matter what happened in the past, only the NOW matters. Appreciate and embrace this now. Drop the grudges. Drop the reasoning of why you keep yourself seperate from others. Drop the excuses that are keeping you from what you deserve. You deserve success. You deserve abundance but above all, you deserve happiness. Thank you 2009 and all of my friends for contributing to my heart and life and I love you all!

to tell me one thing about the year 2008. The common responses
I hear are that times are hard, work is tough, stock market
and real estate market stinks and on and on and on.

Your year is whatever you make of it. If you are a law of
attraction person, you know the more you dwell on the negative
the more negative items show up in your life. If you are a
numbers person, you need to understand the times we are in.

WE ARE IN THE MOST OPPORTUNE TIMES IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND
TO CREATE YOUR FORTUNE, WEALTH AND FINANCIAL DESTINY.

ever before. Of course mainstream media will not share this
with you as the majority do not want to hear this.

DON'T BE THE MAJORITY

So, what does this all mean to you?

Know that you do not have to struggle, know that if you take
the right actions right now, you can create your future.

How can you help others in this market? What is this market
making people need/want? Do you have that idea that you've had
for so long but never taken action on? Or, is now the time to
evaluate your business, decide if its the right business and
if so, learn to dominate in a time where your competition is
withering away to smoldering ashes?

ASK YOURSELF TWO QUESTIONS:
1) If you could choose any business, and be guaranteed $1
Million passive cashflow a year, what business would you choose?
2) If you had $10 Million in the bank, what would you do?
What would your day consist of? Who would you spend it with?
How would your life be different?

These questions will help you discover your passion. 

Sprint toward your passion with the hunger of a thousand starving
lions.

When you align your will, attitude, intelligence and have a
laser focus on your passion, the obstacles no longer exist.

Write that book, buy or create that company, do that new
monumental thing toward your existing clients that will

Those around you will say it can't be done
Those around you will say the media tells them what to think
Those around you may never breathe the air of someone who
has been empowered with the knowledge that you are an
unlimited source of power.

Spend your time crying about the market and attract more things
to cry about.
Spend your time moaning and complaining about business and
attract more things to moan and complain about.
Spend your time focusing on your competition and attract
more competition.
Spend your time going through life in a zombie like,
uninspired state and attract more passion lacking zombies around you.

Now is the time empires are created.
MORE MONEY WILL BE MADE IN THE NEXT TWO YEARS THAN THE LAST
FIVE YEARS BUT IT WILL BE MADE BY FEWER PEOPLE.

Will you lose yourself in bad times never to reach your
potential?

Know that you are worthy.
Know that you have the same abilities as the richest and
most powerful people on the planet...and that is YOUR MIND.

I am gearing up for 2009. I know that money comes easily and
frequently. I know that I am magnetically attracting the right
people, assets, companies, resources to begin a new chapter
of wealth creation.

Follow your passion and give 10, 100, 1000 times more value
to your clients than you ever receive in cash and you will
not be a statistic.

Master your life now. Take massive action now. It's time to
put what you already know into practice and stop spending time
focusing on the media and what the un-empowered zombies of
America.

My main goal in 2009 is to lock arms with the right people,
the people that raise their hands to the sky and scream from the mountain
top that they are tired of all this BS about the market and
are ready to put a chokehold grip on their destiny. I want to
lock arms and continue to align myself with those that really,
truly want to dedicate 2009 to being the best year of their
lives financially, spiritually, and physically.

I fully realize that you are now prepared for me to sell you
something, or push you to some website where I make a commission
or tell you how much value I am providing to my latest
subscribers to my paid newsletter but I am not going to do that.

If You have already discovered your passion and got value
out of this email, Great!
If I impact one life with this email, I am happy and grateful
to have made a difference in someone's life that was ready
for a change. You need advice on how to approach your passion,
reply to this email, I'll give you the best possible advice
I know how to give, or, you just realize that those around me

I think this is one of the better celebrity costume ideas that I have seen and we got A LOT of feedback. The whole night I was telling people how ______ was the best _______ of all time! Example:
I told the bartender Julie that another bar in town made the best drinks of all time, the best drinks of all time!

How we did it: For this celebrity costume ideas we shaved my head and she took eyeliner or something and drew on my head all the designs that were in Kanye’s head from the VMA awards. Then applied black make-up, I carried around a hennessee bottle, bought a small gold chain and the stunner shades (he actually wore black glasses at the VMA’s but we figured people would recognize him better). For her we bought a Buzz lightyear doll and wrapped it in aluminum foil for her VMA award and had a fake microphone that I kept snatching away from her. We did come in 2nd (to someone who BOUGHT a good costume…rolling eyes) but did win $100! What are some good celebrity costume ideas that you have seen?

I talk to a lot of people that ask me about goal setting activities. I think this is a very smart way to think and is one of my favorite goal setting tips.

Most people do not have their long term goals even in their head let alone written down. Whether you can think of them right now or not, one of the smartest goal setting activities is writing down the goals you want to accomplish daily, even better, write them down before you go to bed.
