Know that wherever you are right now, there are ways to have a better life. They could include changing jobs, changing your habits, but the first one is changing your attitude!

Start to feel like you are on the journey upward. You are on the journey toward the things you like to do, toward happiness or at least, a place happier than you currently are.

Most people that are going through tough times tend to tell everyone around them all the reasons why they are having a tough time, how bad of a time they are having and how they got there. If you are living your passionate dream life, then KEEP TELLING THAT STORY and if you are not, STOP TELLING THAT ONE! When you keep rehashing all the reasons why you are struggling it drums up those feelings in you and you constantly relive this terrible story that is not the real YOU! This doesn’t mean you have to lie but you don’t have to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth unless you like that version of the truth! If you are currently struggling, start talking about how things are getting better for you, about the new things in your life that have promise and be grateful for what you have! If those that are struggling could just stay more in gratitude they would feel better which would send a cascade of resources their way to feel better about! Our emotions attract the good or bad things in our life so if you are defending where you are, and you don’t like where you are, STOP IT!

I own an Internet Marketing company in SWFL and I learned a lot of what I know about Internet Marketing from what is called Affiliate marketers. An affiliate marketer is someone who sells products online, typically not their own, and earns a commission via a unique tracking URL. Here is an example:

The XYX company has a website that sells diet pills. They are willing to pay anyone 50% of the sale if that person drives traffic to their site. Let’s say affiliate marketer Jason Jayjay wants to make some money by selling their product so he signs up as an affiliate. Jason may get a link that looks like this:

www.xyzcompanydietpills.com/jasonjayjay

and anytime anyone goes through to their site via that link, Jason gets 50%. Simple enough right? Well, one major point I have learned is you MUST, MUST setup ways to track your traffic. Even though my Internet marketing company in SWFL caters to local businesses, I still sell a lot of products online and one of, if not the, biggest mistake I made was just trying to drive as much traffic to offers as possible without actually taking the time to track the details.

For example, tonight I got notified that I sold several diet products that earned me a commission. That is great news right? Well, I have NO Clue where they came from as these were from links I setup a long time ago that did not track where I placed them. Now I know if a sale came from an email, social marketing site or my personal blog, etc. These came from, well, I HAVE NO IDEA! If I did, I would put more work into wherever they came from! This is why you want to make sure you track any and all links you put out there in the vast internet so you know what is working and what is not, the things that are working you put more effort into!

I am a SWFL speaker and today I had the pleasure of attending the Bonita Chambers event at the new Hyatt Place at Coconut Point. I joined the Bonita Chamber a few weeks ago. I really enjoyed the people that attended and I highly recommend anyone that is serious about their business or looking for a great networking function to check out the Bonita Chamber. I think they have a nice mix of people and keep their events different enough and structured in a way where you can get good networking in. Kat Farrel is the owner of Omvibe Yoga and Omvibe is a Naples Yoga Studio that rocks! They have all sorts of different classes and times and I highly recommend the Morning Power hour that Kat personally teaches as it is just awesome! I believe Yoga ties together your spiritual practice with your exercise routine and really helps you learn better breathing and more flexibility. I like going to the Wednesday morning power hour at Kat’s Naples Yoga Studio at 8am. I am hitting it tomorrow and will see anyone there that wants to come!
