The Top Real Estate Wholesaler in Florida
In 1992, Steve began his career as a software developer and consultant for a transportation company in the mid-west. In 1994, his job brought him to the Tampa Bay area as a software consultant for a leading development firm. Throughout his 10-year career in software development, Steve worked with dozens of Fortune 500 companies to develop software and business automation systems for companies spanning multiple vertical markets including healthcare, transportation, weapons management, travel, insurance, and telecommunications. His experience in building systems and directing teams of developers led Steve to launch his own software development and consulting firm, Jackson Business Solutions, Inc., in January 2000.

Although rewarding, life as a software developer brought with it many late nights and weekends in the office as a result of the extremely aggressive deadlines. The long hours, coupled with the “Dotcom Bust,” led Steve and his wife, Carole, to attend their first real estate investment seminar in December 2001. Within his first year, Steve had successfully rehabbed 4 homes while continuing his work as a software developer. After just one year, his part-time job as a real estate investor grew to a point where it required his full attention. So in March 2003, Steve began a full time career in real estate investing and formed “Family Man Buys Houses.” As Family Man Buys Houses grew, and Steve began to implement more and more lead generation activities, the constant phone calls and back office tasks began to consume his time. Steve has since learned to use multiple ways to leverage his time and next Wednesday Night is going to show you how you can do the same by following tried and true, step-by-step methods to make money EVEN in this market!

Pretty Cool Product for Those That Travel or Want To Save Money

Posted under Thoughts & Events by on Friday 19 September 2008 at 8:09 pm

Also, my friend told me about this thing called MagicJack, have you seen this? Really Cool! You plug this thing into your computer and you get free local and long distance, free call waiting, free voicemail and if your cellphone has bad reception in your house, you can just use this thing by plugging your cellphone into it, you can see a video on it by clicking here and they even let you try it for free. For those of us that travel, it is pretty darn cool especially those that travel outside the US.

Sincerely,

3 Keys to Having a Blissful Life

By: Ray Higdon

Ever gone through times where you get down due to circumstances outside your control? Well, you should not allow that to happen, at least for very long! This article is meant to help condition your mind to no longer allow those forces outside your control to affect you emotionally in a negative way.

Key number one is eliminating your perception of entitlement. Have you ever asked a favor of a friend or associate only to be sorely disappointed by their reaction or response? Did you find yourself thinking, “Wow, I have done so much for that person(s), I can’t believe they would turn around and treat me that way”? Chances are that you have been in that situation before but, you should NOT allow yourself to stay in that state. If you help people solely in the hope of actually helping them rather than in the swap of favors or to receive some reciprocate action, and then you will never be disappointed! One thing that you should know is people have a very short memory of where you have helped them but we have a very long memory of where we have helped others. What do you do if someone you have helped out or supported acts in a selfish or disappointing manner? Offer to help them more!  As strange as that sounds, life is about managing your state of mind, not the minds of other people. If you can walk around with the knowledge that you are a helper of others, you will be able to maintain happiness in your mind, which, should be the goal!

Key number two is know that is it much better to be happy than to be right. And rare is the occasion that you can be both! If someone is arguing with you and you know that they are dead wrong…STOP ARGUING! Choose to be happy rather than try to be right. This is good for two reasons, 1) They may actually be right and you may be missing facts and 2) the more you put yourself in a negative or combative state, the greater chance you have to attract more things to be negative or combative about. Another benefit of having this mindset is that a lot of times those people will learn that they were wrong and then they will admire you for not trying to argue with them being that you were right.

Key number three is if you have a thought that does not serve you, throw it away! All of us have negative thoughts creep in our mind but it is our choice to accept them, dwell on them or say “I don’t think so” and throw them away. You will never be able to eliminate the possibility of having fleeting negative thoughts but you can eliminate the length of time you spend keeping those thoughts in your mind. If you cannot think of something positive to think, just remember some of these phrases; everything is alright, I feel Fantastic or I am so happy and excited to have so many good things coming to me right now! Just saying those statements will make you feel better than you were prior to thinking positively.

I hope these simple ideas will help you lead a happier and more productive life. The more we reject the victim mentality along with keeping our thoughts positive, the better our lives will be!

3 Ways to Make Money in a Down Economy

Posted under Thoughts & Events by on Saturday 13 September 2008 at 3:53 pm

A lot of people I talk to are struggling in this economy. In my area in Southwest Florida there was a lot of real estate speculation where the profits were not realized and some people got in over their head. There is also the effect of fewer real estate transactions occurring which affects almost every industry. One topic on the minds of so many is how to make money in this market. There are so many ways to make money but I’d like to draw attention to three that I think are worth pursuing and actually work.

One way a lot of people are making money is in brokering projects needed in the United States to companies overseas. In fact, a lot of your bigger companies do this as well. An example of this is website design, marketing plans, or logo/banner needs. Finding companies that require services and or deliverables that are willing to pay more than what you can have them done outside the United States for can have you making money just brokering the deal. This tactic is talked about in the Tim Ferriss’s book, the 4 hour workweek.

A second way people are making money is participating in at-home surveys from their computer. There are a ton of different companies out there that do this; some are more lucrative than others and some you even pay money to be a member of. However, for spending time at your computer in whatever attire you wish to wear, it’s not a bad way to make a little extra money. You can search for all the survey sites out there but here is one example that I have friends that have used to make extra income – http://www.HighPaySurvey.info

A third way that people are legitimately making money is in referral marketing, also known as network marketing. In down economies these companies flourish and according to a company I spoke to out of Arizona, about 70 of these types of companies are formed each month in America. That’s a pretty incredible number however most of these companies never make it past year two. Some people still have the draconian “pyramid scheme” mentality that anytime you make a percentage off of other people’s efforts it has to be a scheme, but, there are so many people making money at these things that I believe that is not the majority. Warren Buffet purchased the Pampered Chef network marketing company for $400 Million; he said the reason was two words…Cash Flow. I have personally built large organizations in these types of companies and have no asterisk by where my money comes from. I really like the idea of helping others make money and getting paid in the process. In one of my organizations I have 9 people making over 6 figures in my team! If you enjoy helping other people, you could be a superstar in the right company.

I hope these ideas help you in your quest to make money in this economy. For more information you can visit my website at http://www.RayHigdon.com.

The 3 things you MUST know before selling your house

Posted under Thoughts & Events by on Thursday 11 September 2008 at 3:57 pm

1. There are buyers out there, investors know that a down market is the right time to buy.

2. Don’t give up hope, worrying about your problem does not solve anything, focus on the things that you can control and be positive.

3. When bad things happen, program yourself to think that it happened for a reason because something even better is behind it, if you do that, it comes true!
